CAPODIMONTE (head of [the] mountain) is Gioia's first cigar shaped fountain pen, which features a completely new trim design and uses a piston filler system that can be accessed by unscrewing the blind cap in the back part of the pen. CAPODIMONTE is also the name of a hilltop district in Naples, known for the palatial Capodimonte Museum and a big public park with wooded areas, fountains and expansive views of the city. It was the rounded cap finial, resembling a hill, that made Gioia find this name in no time. Gioia's first CAPODIMONTE model is called "Kawari", a Japanese word that translates to change, alteration, unusual state or event, difference or distinction. Each pen is individually numbered and made with passion by Gioia Italia in Naples (Italy).
