Liquitex Crackle Paste Professional Acrylic Mediums
- To produce a structurally stable crackle effect on hard surfaces, use either alone or in combination with colour
 - Lightfast & archival, Non-yellowing, Water-resistant when dry
 - Intermixable with all Liquitex materials
 
What it does
- On hard surfaces, as it dries, it produces a crackling effect
 - Dries to a tough, opaque surface
 - Maintains the archival quality, longevity, and adherence of the paint
 
How to use it
- Use only on rigid supports
 - When dried, it can be painted over or utilised alone
 - It is possible to combine it with acrylic colours, but no more than 15% paint to 85% medium
 - Using a palette knife, spread paste evenly across the surface
 - Prior to repainting, let the surface cure for at least 24 hours
 - The degree of cracking may vary depending on how thickly you apply it; thicker applications will produce more noticeable results but take longer to dry
 - Use a base coat of fluid or gel media to seal wood surfaces and allow it to dry before usage. application of Crackle Paste
 - Fully compatible with all Liquitex products
 - Between 5 and 10 mm is the recommended thickness for the crackling effect
 
How not to use it
- Avoid dilution with water
 - Avoid forcing drying with a heater or fan as this may cause little or no cracking
 - Try not to add a slow drying media to try to lengthen the drying period as this will impair the cracking result
