Winsor & Newton Oil Colour - Solvents Artists White Sprit -
Winsor & Newton Distilled Turpentine can be used to create your own painting mediums and for cleaning brushes. Distilled Turpentine is derived from pine trees and is the most traditional solvent, removing dried oil, alkyd, and acrylic paints from brushes and painting tools. Distilled Turpentine can be used to remove varnishes, including Dammar Varnish, from artwork. Mix just enough solvent with paint to thin to the desired degree. To clean tools, first wipe paint off, then dip them into the liquid. A separate cup or container can be helpful to avoid polluting the solvent entirely. Please note that it needs to be kept tightly closed and away from light to prevent oxidation. Do not use it if it has thickened.
