Pebeo Studio Fine Oil Colour XL Tubes
- Pebeo Studio Fine XL Oils are quick drying, versatile oil colours created specifically to meet the requirements of contemporary artists. The XL Fine Oil range consists of a diverse palette of intermixable colours and effects, such as traditional colours, light or pastel colours, bright modern colours and the ready to use unique transparent glazing colours and iridescent Dyna colours. All these colours are compatible with each other and offer a multitude of sumptuous mixtures.
- Pebeo Studio Fine XL Oils are developed with the same precision as extra fine oils, are finely ground, intensely pigmented and permanent. They are perfect for professional artists, mixed media artists, students of art and hobby artists. XL Oils are intended for application on canvas, cardboard, paper and wood, but are suitable for producing large pictorial spaces (landscapes / portraits) as well.
- Pebeo XL Oils have a smooth, supple consistency making them suitable for all techniques from glazing to layering thick coats / impasto. They can also be used in conjunction with mediums & auxiliaries for many more effects. Since XL Oil dries quickly, overlay work can be undertaken after 3 to 4 days. When used in conjunction with drying agents such as Siccative or Siccative Medium overpainting can be done in as little as 3 hours which is a major advantage for anyone with tight schedules or when working on a large scale.
- XL Fine Oils are touch dry in 3 to 6 days depending on the thickness of the application. It is advisable to wait for 6 to 9 months before varnishing. The range consists of 52 traditional & modern colours, 5 Iridescent Dyna colours & 5 Glaze colours in 200 ML Tubes. All colours are blendable and have the same viscosity. The paints can be diluted with solvents, oils or mediums, depending on the desired effect.
- Pebeo XL Oils are great for acrylic artists who want to try out oil paints without the odor. Great value for money in comparison to Extra Fine Oil Paints, since the range has been carefully prepared with appropriate pigments to provide similar colours to extra fine oils. XL Oils have very good lightfastness. Clean brushes & tools after use with a solvent such as turpentine or white spirit.
